| What's wrong with the native tools? From a DB perspective that, or various third-party tools (LiteSpeed, Redgate, etc.) would be best. From an application perspective, whatever you currently use to backup the OS would work fine.Terry |

| Our organization uses Recovery Manager for Sharepoint, Quest Software, to manage recoveries for Sharepoint sites. This product does use a LiteSpeed plug-in to read and pull data from our backups. It's really pretty neat in the fact that you don't have to perform a database restore (even to a temporary database) just to pull out some data. When it comes to the actual database backups, we use our own home grown process for backing up our databases.Hope this helps,GrampaJoe |
