I have a report with several tables, charts, etc...Once the user has viewed the report once, they enter a comment in a "comments" section of the report. Currently, to see their comments on the report, the user must rerun the whole report. Is there any way to see the same report (as it was originally rendered), with the new comment instantly and without regenerating the whole report? Some of the reports take up to 45 minutes to run initially. I would like to not have to rerun the whole report being that only the comments section has changed. The comments section is currently a textbox. It is possible that this can be resolved within reporting services? Any help you can provide is MUCH appreciated... |

nope. you cant have instantaneous rendering.the value entered needs to be passed to server before report renders and shows it. |
