hi all,

i like to know the concept of where the db is actually getting saved when it created ..i just know that its not RAM resident ....

In SSMS right click on Database. Choose Properties and then files. You can see where data and logs are saved in filesystem.

In .MDF and .LDF file located at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data

Usually There
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$LOCAL\Data

But u see the database file locations by seeing the properties of that database.
Location of .mdf and .ldf files r given there?
