| Hi all;I've not been able to resolve my issue with regards to logging intoSQL 2005 Management Studio, so I've decided to uninstall everything,then reinstall it all from scratch. I've been reading through thedocumentation relevant to doing this, and I see that I have to"Delete the local security groups":-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-Delete the local security groupsAs part of the uninstallation process, delete the local security groups for the SQL Server 2005 components.-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-http://support.microsoft.com/kb/909967-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-If I cannot log into Management Studio, how can I do this? ... or should I just ignore this step?THANKS!!!Wylbur======================== |

Ahhhhhhhhhh ... OK.No - I'm not having any problems with uninstalling SQL 2005 - I haven't actually tried it as of yet. I thought there would betasks that I needed to perform before add/remove programs.I misunderstood.  The last time I uninstalled SQL 2005 I had all kinds of problems - but that was on another system - with a different OS (Win XP).Maybe things will be different this time.THANKS!!!Wylbur======================== |
