| As part of an ongoing performance audit on one of our primary SQL boxes (8 cpu, 64bit Win2k3/64bit SQL 2k5), I've noticed the user connect+ions routinely exceeds the "default" number of worker threads per this server build.I'm considering re-configuring this option to exceed the maximum number of connections we typically see on this box. This would bump it up from 576 to 1024 (max is 922, but some threshold beyond that seems prudent).Has anyone seen good results of making such a change to their systems? Thanks to all! |

Very informative article, thank you!I'm going to continue monitoring this using DBCC SQLPERF(umsstats) to confirm if these results are user and/or worker connections. |
