I have been having a hard time setting up any type of sending emails from my sql 2005 database.

I tried sqlmail, dbmail, cdonts and cdosys and didn't have success in any of them.
the server is not an exchange server - it has outlook express on it (which i can send emails with) but not outlook.

Any suggestions on what I can try? I really need to be able to send emails.
