Could someone please explain to me how I can take my current sql database and transfer all the data to a new host?

u can have a backup for current sql database and u can restore the this backup file in newhost database then u can get the data . i think so........

Use this query to take backup
BACKUP DATABASE Test_Forums TO DISK = 'D:\Test.bak'

Copy the backup file and place it in host machine
To restore use this query

RESTORE Test_Forums
FROM DISK = 'D:\Test.bak'

use Move option if drives are different in new host while restoring.

Although I prefer the BACKUP\RESTORE method , if you are completely short of space , you could do a detach \ attach method
