Good morning,I have what seems like a basic question regarding SQL Server 2005 relating to Windows Vista 32 bit vs 64 bit.Without dragging out the gory details, I am getting a 64 bit Vista OS machine in a few weeks. I am doing self training in SS 2005 and SS 2005 Business Intelligence(BIDS, SSAS, SSIS, etc), using the evaluation versions, that are currently installed on a 32 bit machine, including testing databases and dbs/etc, developed as part of the training exercises. After installing the software using the 64 bit installation files... can I do a backup of all databases on the 32 bit machine, then restore them on the 64 bit machine, as well as porting the project files created in BIDS?Thanks....Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish. |
