| It depends on selectivilty of your columns. Also , when you look at queries in your Execution Plan , do you have any scans?Jack Vamvas--------------------http://www.ITjobfeed.com |

Jack - There's no scan in my execution plan, but perfmon results (1 hour) shows 3 to 7 full scans/sec.quote: Originally posted by jackv It depends on selectivilty of your columns. | Actually it should be between 1 and 2 . Use DMV for missing index. Do you know which query is running slow? |

| I have listed out top 10 queries (Order by READS Desc) from trace and I check the execution plan for these queries, there's no scans only I can see the scans and high index searches in 1 hour test. |

| How long did they run? Remember Index scan can be same as scan if all rows have to be fetched. |

Then the table could be smaller in Which Scan performs better than with index. Run standard reports for Queries. |

But the perfmon Index searches/sec shows 0 to 90000 (avg: 10000-55000). Is it acceptable range? quote: Originally posted by sodeep

| Why are you worried if queries are running in 1-2 secs? |
