Hello there. I am trying to create an Endpoint for Mirroring. But when i exeute. I get a message saying. I do not have permission to create an endpoint on the instanse or on its behalf. Do i have to grant it permission to create endpoints.??

I created endpoints before but now im not aloud. My instance and windows service is DBSV1\Newmanslane. is there a statement to grant create endpoints at all.

I have looked at the GRANT Endpoint Permissions (Transact-SQL).

Could you give me an example please. Im very confused what i need to use

same old stuff. Im am logged on with windows authentication. so no login name. Can i just grant the windows login to create
endpoints. ?

If you actually read the second link you would see that you need to use:

grant create endpoint to <username>

<username> can be a SQL user or a windows domain/user.

I guess you could, but you would need the correct permissions to do this in the firstplace anyway and if you are not a member of the sysadmins group, you are going to have issues, especially when you ask the DBA to grant you ALL..
