| I am new to sql server. I have an .exe file which does not run until you install sql server on your pc and and change your pc name to "server" along with attaching the given database files which have come with the .exe file in the sql enterprise manager. How ever I have a LAN connection where 15 pcs are connected. I am unable to change each and every computers name to server so I am unable to access the .exe file on the LAN. I want to install sql server in one pc and access it from all computers. Help me!!!!!!Anubhab Satapathy |

| If you are using personal edition be aware it is limited version of SQL Server and does not allow full size DB work. But you should be able to install it it on WIndows XP, ref: http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/previousversions/system-requirements.mspx.When you run the setup on your computer, using setup.exe from the CD; is there an error message? Thanks. -- Mohit K.
