| Hi,I am trying to connect to a remote SQL server 2005 using SQL Management Stuido Express. I have looked for hours at forumns to try and fix this error but had no luck. I have tried all the obivious, turning the firewall off, making sure the server allows remote connections.I'm pulling my hair out so any help might save a few strands :-) ThanksError:===================================Cannot connect to 213.xxx.xx.xxx\SQLSERVER.===================================A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. | When you open Management Studio if you choose "browse" do you see the instance?Look at:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/265808 |
