Author  Topic  namitrs Starting Member 1 Post Posted - 2009-04-03 : 02:55:25 Hello I am a newbie to the MS arena,and am trying to install SQL Server 2005 on my pc which has Win XP Pro SP1 running. I get the following error messgae when I try to install it "SQL Server Setup failed to obtain system account information for the ASPNET account. To proceed, reinstall the .NET Framework, and then run SQL Server Setup again." Before I started the installation I already had the .Net framework 1.1 And then when I tried to install the SQL Server, I saw it installs >net framework 2.0. I also created the 'ASPNET' account manually and gave it the admin priveleges. I am not sure what I am missing. Appreciate any help Thanks Namit
