| Thanks Pesothis is not an interview question.in our environment in many places i can see rowlock hint for update/delete.Iam surpised to see locking hint.I need proof to raise this issuse so if anybody provide some links it wil very useful. |

You can only suggest for SQL Server which level of lock to begin with.SQL Server will esacalate to for example TABLOCK even if you have hinted with ROWLOCK, if SQL Server finds it necessary. E 12°55'05.63"N 56°04'39.26" |
