hi there,

if nvarchar length = 10, Does this mean it is 5 digits?
Prec is 5?

Nvarchar doesn't have a precision, it has length. There is the byte length and the character length. Since it's stored as 2 bytes per character the byte length is twice the character length.

Precision and "digits" only apply to numeric datatypes.
