| I run a select query for a heavy table in a user database (for which datafiles are in d drive). i suprised to see hard disk space reduces down by down in c drive where sql server is installed.i dont know what is happeningplease advice |

Have a look at the properties of the tempdb for example.Maybe the MDF and LDF are stored on c drive?
