| I run a select query for a heavy table in a user database (for which datafiles are in d drive). i suprised to see hard disk space reduces down by down in c drive where sql server is installed.i dont know what is happeningplease advice |

Have a look at the properties of the tempdb for example.Maybe the MDF and LDF are stored on c drive? No, you're never too old to Yak'n'Roll if you're too young to die. |

| Thanks for reply webfredFirst thing i have detached and attached the tempdb to d drivethe size of disk shrinks while execution of query and again come back to the orignal size |
