Hi ... I want to connect a ms-access Database to a SQL-Database. The SQL Database is installed on a Ubuntu Linux. And I know the IP from the Server, I know the database-name and the login and password. With this data I can connect with phpmyadmin.

Now I have tried to create a system-dsn in my XP Installation. But this connection does not work.
On the client I get the error
SQLState:'01000'
SQLServer-Error:10061
and
SQLState:'08001'
SQLServer-Error:17

This is a Microsoft SQL Server forum.
You might get a fast answer on www.dbforums.com since it seems you are running mysql or oracle.
