I tried to read BOL to gain understanding but got stuck.
SQL Server 2005 Books Online (November 2008) Ownership Chains and Context Switching

Tells me that I have to install AdventureWorks, and gives me a link to
SQL Server 2005 Books Online (November 2008) Installing AdventureWorks Sample Databases and Samples.
Which then gives me a link to Running Setup to Install AdventureWorks Sample Databases and Samples.
Which gives me a link to a download site, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=E719ECF7-9F46-4312-AF89-6AD8702E4E6E&displaylang=en
on hitting the download button it downloaded a pdf file with the following text one it:

SQL Server Samples Have Moved
SQL Server code samples and sample databases are now hosted on CodePlex. Codeplex is the project hosting site for Microsoft SQL Server Samples and Community Projects. The portal page for SQL Server on Codeplex catalogs samples included with Product Releases, samples from the community, and independent SQL Server Community projects.
Visit the SQL Server Samples and Community Projects page on CodePlex at:
http://codeplex.com/SqlServerSamples
at codeplex, I had to move around looking for it as well. Once downloaded, I went back to BOL to read the instructions on how to install it.

1. SQL Server 2005 Books Online (November 2008) Running Setup to Install AdventureWorks Sample Databases and Samples, Installation After Setup.
2. From Add or Remove Programs, select Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and click Change. Follow the steps in the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Maintenance wizard.
3. From Component Selection, select Workstation Components and then click Next.
4. From Welcome to the SQL Server Installation Wizard, click Next.
5. From System Configuration Check, click Next.
6. From Change or Remove Instance, click Change Installed Components.
7. From Feature Selection, expand the Documentation, Samples, and Sample Databases node.

I do not see Documentations listing, what am I doing wrong.
Did I have to go to all these trouble and time waste to just install the sample database? How much more trouble will I face following the BOL directions? Is it worth it to continue with this SQL or switch to a different provider?

Plus bothering your with my problems which adds up to the pain.

Man what a mess.

I don't like the CodePlex hosting of MS stuff either.

Almost certainly the conclusion should be to use a different provider. What else would you need to base your decision on?
