| Hi Alli have an issue here...One of my drives(disk partition) have only backup files, both full backup files and log backups. (the backups are stored here )I get disk space issues very frequently. It reaches upto 80%,90% during backup time.however it isnt at a constant or increasing rate. Two days back i got 93% disk space occupied during backup time and yestdray ,only 81%.The backup files' size keeeps increasing, then how is it that the percentage goes down & up ,and not a linear growth? Can anyone advise me on this? Why does it happen so?and what is the resolution? All suggestions are welcome..ThankyouPVK |

| The size of the log file backups could vary greatly from day to day. The logs basically reflect how busy the database has been - so on a day when there was less activity they could be much smaller than a day when there was a lot of activity. The full backups should be more constant, slowly growing larger as the amount of data increases. |
