Is server reboot required after installing "64-Bit OLEDB Provider for ODBC (MSDASQL)"? Please let me know. I tried to install it on production server, it gave message that: take backup and server restart may be needed.

I installed it on a test server it didn't ask for reboot. However, I forgot to check whether it was already installed.

If reboot it required, I have to wait till this week end.

I would go with the reboot. Windows is asking for it for a reason. MSDASQL is part of MDAC, which gets in fairly deep on SQL Servers.
