how can i see the current version of package in MSDB (after deploy).
is their way in SQL to see it?

There is no easy way like formerly known in DTS.
The version information is to make available by the developer inside package in properties.

I don't know.
Some guys would say it is not the job of SSIS to make versioning because it is to consider by the developer or you have to use source save or so.

Sometimes (but only sometimes) I think in the IT-World we are going back to the roots...

I am waiting for the day Word is no more asking "save document before quit?" like in first versions... because saving a document is to consider by the user.
