when we have a clustured index and its depth is large say 1000 then all the intermediate pages only stores the information abt the pages below (2 values eg. between 1 - 5000 etc)then until control reaches the leaf node where actual data is there.Hence there is lot of wastage of spaces as each intermediate page (node page) stores only 2 values. also is it B-Tree structure each node is further divids in two nodes only and not 1 or 3.Regards,a |
