hello,I'm completely new to DB Administration. The product I want to use ist SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Ed.Here my question:I heard something about raw-format vs. ntfs for partitioning. Could not find usefull info on that. The DB ist going to be in a VM-Ware Machine with Win2003. What considerations should be made for partitioning? Perhaps also some notes on this raw-format thing.thx.harald |

The answer is simple for raw partitions: never use them.CODO ERGO SUM |
