i have a database which was backed up when the mdf and ldf file were in c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\data, now i am goin to restore it to a database whose name is identical to the old name but the location is different. does it allow me to restore the database. |

sure, but you must provide the new path of your mdf and ldf files. |
