| Why is it when trying to install SQL 2005 on server 2008 as soon as it gets to the workstation components it just says an unknown error has occurred, goodbye, and closes?I have reinstalled with 2003, though I would someday like to go to 2008 someday so that I do not fall behind like with 2000/2003 where I am still trying to get rid of 2000 servers. |

| workstation components are for xp or vista ( ie workstations) You cant install server components on workstation. |
