| Can anyone point me toward a good tutorial (or tutorials) for combining multiple data sources into a query? What I'm trying to do is UPDATE a table in a MS SQL Express 2005 database with a SUM'ed amount from a Pervasive SQL database.I thought I could do it by using a subquery to get the sum total, but couldn't find a way to pass the connection string within the query. I don't have administrative privilages on either server, so I'm not sure setting up a linkedserver connection is going to work (nor do I really have a clue how to do that anyway).Edit: The Pervasive SQL and MS SQL databases are being run on two seperate physical servers, if that matters.----------------------------------------------------------------"We're traveling faster than the speed of light, which means by the time I see something, we've already passed through it.
