I have a table employee with empname empsal as fields when I select from the table I need to get output as below.


SLNO. Name Sal
1 SAM 5000
2 MARK 5000
3 PHIL 2000
4 STEVE 3000
5 MIKE 1000

how will I get the SLNO. I don't want to use any identity coloumn or temperory table. Can I get the output in single select statment.
