When you change the special effect property of say a text box to shadowed is there then anyway of changing the shadow colour without changing the back colour of the text box portion ? I kind of assume not but someone somewhere may have come across this before ?

I am using Access97.

Well, I don't think that SQL Team is really the best forum for this question, but I can tell you that this will probably be in the Access help file. I think shadow color is a function of the operating system settings; if it can be changed at all I think you'd have to change it there...and it could very likely affect all shadow settings for all controls that use it.

Take a look at http://www.vbapi.com, it's a site that covers how to use Windows API functions, it might have some information on how to change the shadow color. Another good site for esoteric MS Access stuff is http://www.mvps.org, there's an Access forum there.

I'm sure Rob doesn't mean to be harsh on knookie....surely 1 stray post in 270+ is allowed?...must be a long, hard day in Georgia!

Yeah, I'm sorry if I sounded harsh, I certainly didn't mean to.

It's actually a pleasant, breezy day in Georgia! And man, I've got a much higher "stray post" ratio than anyone here! Which reminds me, we haven't had a good discussion on SQL Team lately!

Not to mention Australian beaches! Or topless women! Or even fully-clothed women! It's been extremely on-topic for the last few weeks! No poetic musings about SQL Server, no graz in peril stories!

Please, someone help correct the balance!
