 restore only 1 table from backup

is this possible in any way ?

by extracting it to a csv or something like that ? and then import it...
its just 1 table, nothing fancy..


i can delete all the records from it and then insert it .... if its possible via csv ...

No.
If you need one table from a database backup then you have to restore the database under a different name and then you can access the needed table.
But you can't restore only one table from a backup.

Red Gate's SQL Backup product can do that, but it isn't free.

Same with Idera Virtual Database http://www.idera.com/Products/SQL-toolbox/SQL-virtual-database/
It allows you to mount a backup file and use as a regular database.
