| I've got a copy of R2 Enterprise in my Action pack - not what you are asking, but as a Developer "Action Pack" might suit you (assuming you don't already know about it!) |

Action pack is (I think) for developers and I think (not me that does the purchasing!) is for developers only. It costs about £300 p.a. and gets you 10 licensed copies of all the "obvious" components for O/S, office, SQL, Exchange, Sharepoint ... there are probably some restrictions about use for commercial deployment (but given that you were after a Developer licence for SQL I kinda assumed you were in the right ball park). When I got mine a colleague filled in some stuff on Microsoft's website and I got an email with my "account" and I flashed a credit card and then was able to download after 24 hours or so, and 20 or 30 DVDs / CDs arrived in the post about a week later.Hmmm ... not sure visual studio is in there, come to think of it ... so maybe it is more "Microsoft Partner" type audience, rather than Developers (we used to have an MSDN licence but that got expensive and all we need is IIS and SQL, plus Email/Word/Excel/Visio, so perhaps it was decided this was a better choice No doubt somewhere on the MS Wesbite, but as I haven't used it myself hopefully you can Google that bit |

| Cheers Kirsten, but I was think of just getting the SQL Server 2008 R2 Developer edition which usually costs around £40-£50, the same as you could you 2000, 2005 and 2008.I'll keep digging around and see if I can find it avaliable somewhere |

| Yup, if you don't need 10 licensed copies of everything else its a bit overkill! |
