Hi,

In production server if we are creating a database which size is 100 gb then how many data file and log file should be there.

You should have 2 data files at a minimum. The recommendation is 1 data file per 64GB. We put our threshold at 60GB as we like a nice round number.

You only ever need one log file. Multiple log files is used in case you run out of space in one drive and can rollover to another drive.
