Hi All

Not sure if this is the correct place to raise this, but I just posted a question elsewhere and noticed that in Firefox 4, text wrapped in [code] brackets doesn't appear correctly. In IE it works fine...

Sorry if you're already aware of this...

Hmmm, that's weird, FF4 on my Mac looks normal. Do you have any plugins/add-ons that modify styles or CSS?

I just tried it with FF4 on Windows (plus Chrome, plus Opera, plus IE) and they all render it as a monospaced font. My guess is you have a user-defined stylesheet in Firefox that uses a different font for monospaced text.

No, only Firebug & Web Developer to inspect properties, not to modify them. This problem only seems to have started since upgrading to FF4. FF3.6 worked perfectly...

Anyway, I posted the URL to Browsershots.org to get a second opinion. It's taking a while to load the screengrabs but so far the other FF4 versions look incorrect as well...

For your info, the link is http://browsershots.org/http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=160442 (might need to copy and paste as the SQLTeam logic breaks this URL in half...!)

Can you confirm your Firefox settings are the same as this:

Then try the page again?

Yes, my settings are exactly the same as yours.

I've run some tests and am getting some strange behaviours in FF4. If I restart FF in safe mode, with all add-ons disabled, then the forum code loads okay.
If I run FF normally, manually disable all add-ons, then restart, forum code displays incorrectly again (even though all add-ons are disabled).

I will keep trying some other things out and keep you posted...

Just as a quick follow up to this, I've upgraded to Firefox 5 and the problem no longer occurs. Therefore I'm guessing it was an issue with version 4.

Thanks.
