I had a job that was working great till 2 days ago.
It run a stored procedure from a win 2008/sql 2008 server to a sql 2005 linked server.
2 days ago, it started failing with this message:" The partner transaction manager has disabled its support for remote/network transactions."
Google search resulted in stuff that is already there.
any insight will be highly appreciated.
I also learn that you cannot run stored procedure with transactions on a remote linked server.
Cheers

Hi Yosiasz, thanks for the response. Not sure what you mean by "who owns the linked server" they are all internal servers only.

I own both servers, but System updates are done by Windows team. It is like a needle in a haystack. I have asked around. Awaiting responses. Most of the tips on MSDN point to MSDTC security configuration which is already there and had never been changed.
