| Hi, I installed SQL Server 2005 Express Edition on a laptop running Windows XP SP3, and I use an app on Framework .NET to access the SQL Server database on our company's server.Usually things work just fine, but recently I can't launch the app anymore and receive this error message:See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.************** Exception Text **************System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Rose.FormMain.FormMain_FormClosing(Object sender, FormClosingEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnFormClosing(FormClosingEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmClose(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)What is that mean? | is the sql server instance running?what do you see in the sql error log that may provide a clue to the connection issue?--------------------keeping it simple... |
