dear all

i have a problem when i delete the record.i lose my ID(auto number), but The ID still needed

before deleted | after deleted

ID ID
-- --
1 1
2 2
3 ---> 4
4 5
5 6
6

can i delete the record without delete the ID?

You can update the rest of the fields in the table to null for the particular ID, but I cannot see why you would want to do this???

No. DML (Data Modification Language) in relational theory is performed on a entire tuple (set of rows, records, lines) at a time.
