how to reset ID(auto number) in sql server and microsoft access 2000?

There's quite a bit of information on identity on BOL and at http://www.sqlteam.com/item.asp?ItemID=8003.

I believe that truncating the table will also reset the identity.

Not sure how to do it in access.

TRUNCATE TABLE will reset the ID.
