Just an idea........

Now that there are so many more people subscribed to this site it takes longer to reach the 1000 post custom title mark. Any chance of lowering the limit slightly ??

I would think that with more people subscribed, there would be more posts on which you could comment or add a tip, so that would give you more opportunities to post. Sure there are more people to respond to questions that are asked, but oftentimes I find that there is more that can be added, and just one answer per question is not enough. Like this thread, for instance.

knookie you could whip up an application that automatically posts a message and then deletes it. You'll find the post count increments still.

Then when you hit 999, rob will be bound by his own statement and be obliged to give you a title.

could be something other than what you woul dlike though !

Or not.

I think we're going to keep the limit at 1,000.

But when you reach 999 the post asking where your custom title is will take you to 1000.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

Knookie -

I don't understand the problem. Now that there are so many people using this site to ask about custom titles, it gets easier everyday to find another reason to post something completely unrelated to SQL, which takes no technical or professional knowledge (my specialty).

PS - Thanks for another posting opp.

Cheers

To KnooKie

There once was an SQL sookie
Who decided, while dunking a cookie,
That since the cricket was bad
He'd get even (not mad)
By earning the custom title of "SQL Night chooky"

He posted on queries and views
stored procedures, SQL dont's and SQL do's
DTS Transforms
and even third normal forms
And as he posted, his expertise grew

One day, while crafting a post
and munching on hot buttered toast
He exclaimed, "I feel crappy,
And I'll never be happy
Unless I'm the yak with the most!"

Exasperated, he realised his obsession
Was so bad, he should go to confession
With all haste and all speed
He repented his greed
And now spends all his time smoking hessian.
