Does anybody know of any tool which would create a flowchart of code logic by examining a stored procedure which could be given to less technical personnel so that they can understand the general flow of the program better?

If you find one, pls post a link to it in here. I've never heard of such a thing.

I would like to see anything that could make sense of the sort of thing I write when I'm bored - I certainly can't.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

I am also looking for a tool that will automatically create a flowchart or something to that affect by simply plugging in a stored procedure.. My boss said he'd pay good money for something like this. Anyone heard of such a thing yet?

Thanks,
Mike

Well that's a neat idea...it'd have to be language specific.

I think I would try and build a parent child relationship table of the steps.

Then I would gener Table DDL with the step name as the table.

Then I would would gener FK contraints

And then through it all in to ERWIN to draw the picture...
