Has anyone experienced the following error? Microsft doesn't have any very informative information on this. Running SQL 2K with SP2 on Win 2K Adv Srv. No AWE.

WARNING: EC 42c043a0, 0 waited 300 sec. on latch 42cb19b0. Not a BUF latch.

One of the databases is in constant checkpoint. Because of this no log dumps can occur.

The only fix is to reboot the server and let the database go into self recovery mode.

Any Ideas?

Have you searched MS's knowledge base yet? I got quite a few hits when I did. Just type in "Not a BUF latch" at http://support.microsoft.com/. You'll need to go through all of the articles returned by the search and determine which one fits your environment. Then use the resolution of that article to fix it.
