Maybe every SQL student out there is searching all threads in all forums for the keyword SELECT.

Not sure what's up. I sent an email to the host so we'll see what they say.

Yep, still very slow. I saw my first "SQL Timeout" a few minutes ago.

The time is 10:45 AM CST here in Mobile, AL.

We're rocking now baby!

Was someone trying to copy a terabyte of data across the network?

I do see random ASP errors relating to database not found or timeouts ... but a refresh usually cures that ...

seems very random -- sometimes it flies (maybe even faster than before?) but then the next minute it crawls ...

When anyone gets timeouts or connection errors, please post which page and line number is throwing the error. That might help with the troubleshooting.

Thanks,

~Brad

Does it seem weird to anyone else that code from inc_subscription.asp and inc_moderation.asp are running - and timing out - during normal forum views?

I think the "server not found" issue might be gone. We made another connection string change to force TCP/IP. I think it was trying to use Named Pipes and that was failing part of the time.

Thanks,

~Brad
