I Ocassionaly get called out in the middle of the night for jobs falling over because of Deadlocks.I know that this can be prevented most of the time by adjusting our schedule, but in order for me to do this I need to know what processes caused the deadlocks. Is there a way of Identifying which were the Guilty Processes? |

Look in the books online for TRACE flags....there is one of them you can set so that it delivers more information about the deadlocked processes and what they were doing when they were terminated. Hopefully that can help you. Combined with a SQL Profiler session, it should help you identify what is the cause. |
