This has been coming off and on for the past two three days on a site... totally amusing considering that the site in concern is dBForums ....Enigma |

How much is your ISP charging to host this stuff?! I will be embarking on a massive personal project (and I hope that you guys will have the patience and experience to help me at some stage). I will require SQL Server as a backend (for sure) but I am not sure which ISP I should choose.Any suggestions guys would be much appreciated and by the way, I'm in the UK.________________Make love not war! |

SQLTeam has used www.orcsweb.com from the beginning. I'm not sure of the costs, but their support is nothing short of amazing.A couple of times when Graz has gone away Rob and I have had to deal with them, they are great.Damian |

Amethystium; shared or dedicated? Not sure if www.rackspace.co.uk offer shared solutions but their support is the best I have seen in any line of business, ever. They have even trademarked their slogan "Fanatical support" and they absolutely live up to their slogan. Once again, dbforums.com has hit the skids. The forums are marginally functional, but whole threads are disappearing, major functions like search and who's online aren't working reliably... Ick!Does anybody have any "inside scoop" as to what is going on? Any clues if/when they'll get back to either last week's level of functionality, or better yet full functionality?-PatP |

Heh. Maybe you are only allowed 3,000 posts per username. They could be trying to get rid of some of the gratuitous postings, and decided it was better to start from scratch. ;-)For those around here who do not know me, I am a DBForums refugee as well. |
