neil writes "I am brand new to SQL, and recently the person in charge of our SQL server quit and I have to restore it.

It is a Windows 2000 Advanced Server with SQL Server 2000 Developer.

Now, this is a brand new install of both, and the original servers are on a full backup tape.

What do I need to restore onto the new server to get the old databases, dts, stored procedures from the backup tape?"

Copy the backup files to the database server. You'll need master, msdb, and the user databases. Then run RESTORE command for each.
