I believe so, buy why would you do that? It's likely to cause more problems than it solves.

i need to perform this task

select col1 from tab1 t1 , tab2 t2 where t1.col2=tab2.col2

in the above statement i need to replace tab2 with out replacing the above statement.

insted of tab2 i need a function or anything else which takes a 'sql statement' and execute the statement so that it returns a table.

When you say "replace", do you mean the name of the table, or the results that are in that table? Can you provide an example of what you're trying to do?

also, typically this is caused by a bad DB design. your data should not come from different tables, if it is of the same type.

The table itself in a join should be a constant, but the rows you return should be what changes from call to call of your procedure.

Do you have 1 table per customer or something like that?
