We are trying to write the following oracle query in sql server.

select avg(fld1) from
(select rownum ord1, fld1 from
(select fld1 from tbl1
where fld2 = 2005
order by fld1)
where ord1 between 55 and 60)

How can we do this? Any replies are appreciated.

maybe something like:


select avg(fld1)
from
(
	select top 5 fld1
	from
	(
		select top 60 fld1 
		from tbl1
		order by fld1
	) a
	order by fld1 desc
) b

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
