I want to have side notes in RS so that I can add who the report belongs to and other information related to the report. Is there such a section in RS under Visual Studio that I can add to? |

The report properties section allows you to take notes as well as provide author information, description, and some memo text. This data will be displayed in the report manager as well. As for the actual report itself you may also use the globals section or provide a custom table (or list box) directly in your report and you can enter the text there. I see it now for the report properties. The textboxes are kind of small for Description section so I think your suggestion of using a textbox and just hide it from the user is a good idea. |
