Anyone using the Reporting Security? I was setting up some web applications and I don't know what I click but now Reporting Services doesn't let Domain Users access the report. It ask for user name and password. If this is supply, it still won't let the user view the report. Domain admins can view it fine. I'm not sure what might've caused this but anyone might know where I would look? |

Well....I ended up uninstalling Reporting Services and reinstalling it back. Only took me about 1 hour to do with the deployment of reports so it would be faster than trying to figure out the problems. Hopefully this doesn't happen to someone with a couple hundreds of reports. I only had about 40 so it wasn't too bad. LOL!!! |

Man dont tell me you reinstalled all of reporting services. All you had to do was delete and re-add the group, but glad you got it working! Keeping the web experience alive -- http://www.web-impulse.comImperfection living for perfection -- http://jhermiz.blogspot.com/ |

Jon, only if you responded a little sooner . BTW how would I delete and add the group? I did that under the security setting in Report Manager, but still did not work. |

Did you stop and restart the service ? Not sure why it didnt work out for you the first time, I do it all the time when I need to modify / delete groups.Well as long as you got it working its fine, but that has got to be painful to uninstall and reinstall..especially now that sp2 is out and the integration with sharepoint! Yeah, it is a painful process and hopefully I don't have to do it again. I'm not sure why the group from AD did not get applied when I try to delete and then add the group back. Also try restarting the service, but no luck. |
