| Hi All Gurus,I am getting an error while inserting in table INSERT failed because the following SET options have incorrect settings: 'ARITHABORT'.There has been no change made in the database. It was working till yesterday.Please help. Thanks in advanceRegardsSachin Samuel |

| New version of ADO on the client end?Attempting to insert through a VIEW (but you said DB had not changed)Inserting into a table that has a COMPUTED column (but you said DB had not changed)SProc or VIEW recreated (without appropriate SET settings) (might have been done by some "rebuild" routine, which would nullify "DB has not changed")Kristen |

| Hi Kristen,There is no change in version of ADO.I fixed the problem by specifying SET ARITHABORT ON. But I am still not sure why this error came, when everything was working till yesterday. Can any defragmentation of indexes using DBCC INDEXDEFRAG can cause this? Or Shrinking of DB which is stoped abruptly? Thanks in advanceRegardsSachin |
