| I have three servers, one is a production server, one is a warehouse, one is a standby. The production server has backups being shipped to it regularly throughout the day in the event of a failure on the production server. Now that I feel good about having all of these databases log shipped across to the standby server I started considering the Master / Model, and MSDB databases. Q1) Do I need to copy these over to the standby server?Q2) OR should I just make certain I have good backups of these on the standby server so I can restore them if they fail?I've read in different places that restoring the Master DB can be problematic. Just want to make certain I'm looking at this the right way.MBeal |
