| Hi guys, Just got a very strange issue happening and want to get some advice, we had a SQL2k Ent server with 4 CPUs, which is running a BizTalk server, the funny thing I notice was, when sql agent executing a job (one that created from BizTalk), it seems to take forever to complete, and it seems to be block by other processes, this happen like this:agent job starts, i notice that its been block by a process (say spid 10), suppose spid 10 finishes, then this job should starts without any issue and complete in seconds, but it doesn't it'll then be block by another spid (say 12 this time), and when 12 completes, then comes with 13, which seems like there are a lot of spid that "somehow" comes before the job that just started and keep blocking it to complete, can that happen at all? I though when 1 task is being block by another one, when the blocking task completed, the task been block should starts and all other "new" start task needs to wait (since it should be in a queue or something)? I'm confused......Thanks |
